A Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) is an effective way for family and/or friends to save toward a child’s education. It offers tax benefits and allows you to take advantage of special grants. There are different kinds of plans to choose from, so it is wise to shop around.

Registered Disability Savings Plan - RDSP

The RDSP is a savings plan designed for the long-term financial stability of people with disabilities. As such, parents of people with disabilities can also open and contribute to their child’s RDSP. In addition to the savings plan, contributions may be supplemented by a Canada Disability Savings Grant and Canada Disability Savings Bond.

Direct Funding

This is an innovative program that enables adults with physical disabilities to become employers of their own attendants. Attendants assist with routine activities of living, such as dressing, grooming and bathing. As an employer, you would be fully responsible for managing your own employees within a budget that is developed on an individual basis.
